Medium Voltage Cable Termination

Cable Services supply a wide range of cable termination products for medium voltage applications up to 52kV. The extensive Tyco range include heat shrinkable and cold shrink terminations for polymeric cable up to 42kv for both indoor and outdoor applications. The Tyco range also includes armour earthing using mechanical clamping rings, solderless earth connection kits, single solderless earth connections for 3 core paper and aluminium sheathed cable, heat shrink insulating boots, cold applied inline or right angled flexy boots, cable box extension glands and pole mounted support bracket and insulator termination. 3M terminations include the QT111 cold shrink system plus a range of termination accessories. The Pfisterer Connex range is suitable for medium and high voltage application typically in ring main units, circuit breaker switchgear, high voltage motors, transformers, capacitors, transducers and sealing boxes.

  Copper tape screens on plastic cables can be earthed mechanically by using Raychem’s solderless earth kit. The kit comes complete with a tinned copper braid and a mechanical roll spring for each conductor.
