Jason Bostock Celebrates 25 Years of Leadership at Cable Services Group
Jason Bostock is the Group Managing Director of Cable Services Group, the UK’s largest specialist distributor of electrical cables and cable accessories. Jason has recently celebrated his 25th anniversary with the company, having joined at the turn of the millennium.
Jason originally joined the Cable Services Group as Group Financial Controller. He became Group Managing Director in 2009 and has since led major expansions and acquisitions, as well as the development of a nationwide and international distribution network.
Jason has celebrated many strategic successes throughout his career. In 2004, he played an instrumental role in the acquisition of Smith Electrical. Based in East Kilbride, this acquisition marked a major milestone in expanding the group’s footprint. The group continues to actively invest in operational and infrastructure improvements at this key branch to ensure increased efficiency and ongoing customer satisfaction.
More recently, in 2025, Jason opened a new distribution centre in Guildford, extending the group’s presence in the south-east of England. The new 8,000 sq ft warehouse increased the group’s stockholding capacity, improving product availability for customers in London and the surrounding area.
Jason’s defining moment came in 2020, when the group relocated its headquarters to a state-of-the-art, 42,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution centre on Wrexham Industrial Estate. Jason described this as the most significant change the company had undergone in decades. This move was part of a long-term strategy to modernise operations and support continued growth.
Wrexham Industrial Estate is the second largest in the UK and one of the largest in Europe. Cable Services Group selected it for its excellent road connectivity, faster dispatch and delivery routes, and space for future expansion.
This purpose-built facility was designed to enable high-volume cable storage and distribution, improve loading, logistics and stock management, and provide a better working environment for warehouse and office staff. Relocating has increased stockholding, optimised warehouse flow and order turnaround times, and bolstered support for growing demand from contractors, utilities and export markets.
Reflecting on his career, Jason said:
“Twenty-five years is a long time, and it’s been a really enjoyable journey. It’s a privilege to lead a company that is celebrating its 55th anniversary this year.
Continued investment in our branches and network has played a vital role in our success. We stand apart in the marketplace thanks to the quality of our products, our careful distribution processes, and our unrivalled customer service. Our customers return to us because of the trusted relationships we’ve built up over many years, and that’s entirely down to the fantastic team whose hard work makes it all possible.
Looking ahead, our focus remains simple: to keep our customers happy by delivering excellent products and an exceptional service. We will continue to invest in our business to ensure that our customers continue to receive the premium experience they have come to expect from us.”
The Cable Services Group now operates six branches across the UK and specialises in supplying LV, MV and HV cables. The company provides extensive technical support, customised training, and expert project assistance. It operates a 24/7 export service to over 100 countries.
