The Cable Services team exhibited at the recent ALL-Energy Exhibition and Conference event up at the SEC Glasgow venue.. The event was celebrating its 25th anniversary.
We were incredibly busy on the first day with people coming to the stand to discuss how we can support them with their individual projects. The event also enabled us to catch up with suppliers, 3M, Pfisterer, Prysmian, TE , Filoform, Lucy Electric to name a few
The team now have work to do with chasing through these enquiries and building new business relationships

About ALL-Energy
ALL-Energy is the UK’s largest renewable and low carbon energy exhibition and conference, held each year at the SEC in Glasgow – and this edition marked the event’s 25th anniversary. It brings together developers, contractors, utilities and the whole supply chain behind wind, solar, hydrogen, storage and grid infrastructure, which makes it a natural fixture in our calendar: almost every renewable project, whatever the generation technology, ultimately needs cable, jointing and termination systems specified and supplied correctly.

There is no better way to understand what customers are planning across Scotland’s energy sector than two solid days of face-to-face conversations.
Catching up with our supply partners
One of the underrated benefits of a show like this is having so many of our key manufacturer partners – 3M, Pfisterer, Prysmian, TE Connectivity, Filoform and Lucy Electric among them – under one roof at the same time. Those conversations feed directly back into how we support customers: product roadmaps, training requirements, stock planning and the technical detail that helps us answer project questions quickly. Strong partnerships are only strong if you keep working at them, and two busy days in Glasgow are worth weeks of emails.
A show floor also tells you where the market is heading. This year the conversations kept returning to grid capacity, storage co-location and the pace of connection dates – all of which have a direct bearing on the cable and accessory specifications we will be asked to supply over the next few years, and all of which we took plenty of notes on.
Renewables and the group
From wind farm collector networks to solar connections, battery storage and the EV charging infrastructure that sits alongside them, the renewable sector has become a core part of what the Cable Services Group supplies – supported from our Glasgow branch, Smith Electrical, and backed by training facilities in both Glasgow and Wrexham.
