3M Scotch® Electrical Stress Control Tape 2220

Scotch® Electrical Stress Control Tape 2220 is a mastic tape used for stress control applications in joints and terminations at all voltages. Use Scotch™ Electrical Stress Control Tape 2220 to change the voltage distribution in the electrical field surrounding medium voltage joints or terminations. This tape will regulate lines of flux to equalise the electrical stresses in a controlled manner along the entire area where the shielding has been removed. By changing the electrical field the stress concentration is reduced from several thousand volts to values found in continuous cable. Temperature rating of 90 °C continuous operating with emergency overload temperature of 130 °C. RoHS 2011/65/EU Compliant. Changes voltage distribution in the electrical field surrounding a high voltage termination or joint. Reduces stress concentration to values found in continuous cables.

3M Scotch® Rubber Splicing Tape 23

Scotch® Rubber Splicing Tape is a highly conformable, self-amalgamating EPR (Ethylene Propylene Rubber) based tape for electrical applications. Our tapes can be used for insulation in low or high voltage applications and in joints up to 69 kV. Features a special polyester liner that will not stick when unwinding. Stretch up to 100% for void-free, moisture-resistant insulation. Non-vulcanising and shelf-stable. Highly conformable, self-amalgamating EPR (Ethylene Propylene Rubber) based tape. Primary insulation for splicing cable up to 69 kV. Ideal for moisture sealing electrical connections.

Denso Tape

Denso tape is a cold applied tape which remains plastic over a wide temperature range. The tape is non-hardening and non-cracking. It is highly resistant to mineral acids, alkalis, salts and micro-organisms and highly impermeable to water, water vapour and gases. The tape provides corrosion protection for pipes, valves, joints, metal surfaces, cable above and below ground or under water. Seals against ingress of water, gas, chemicals and grout.

Densyl Mastic (Densyl)

Densyl Mastic is a cold applied self-supporting mastic for sealing, filling and caulking applications where a protective, waterproof and non-setting mastic is required. Suitable for application in a wide range of climatic conditions. It is specially recommended for duct sealing and around pipes and cables where they enter buildings to prevent the passage of water or gas. It is used for moulding around irregular profiles such as flanges, mechanical joints, and valves to provide a contour suitable for wrapping with anti-corrosion tapes e.g. Denso Tape, Densopol and Densoclad Tapes.

Its unique 2-part composition ensures a secure seal, reducing the risk of damage or moisture ingress. The pre-filled resin is supplied in a twin pack pouch which provides a totally enclosed mixing system. The resin is available in pack sizes up to 8 litres (2 x 4.0 litres).
