TE Connectivity Raychem heat-shrinkable medium-wall product lines of cable breakouts are designed for insulation and cable crutch protection on low voltage cable accessories, such as low voltage terminations. They are also used in sealing against moisture and mechanical protection in low voltage splices especially in transition joints.
Straight joints for LV Cables with copper conductors from 1.5mm² to 400mm² – Low Hazard Isocynate free JEM resin – Twin Pack mixing in clear laminate sachets – Extremely low viscosity combined with enhanced adhesion – Transparent injection moulded polypropylene shells up to size 4 and vacuum formed clear HIPS for the larger sizes – Slim-line design for use with compression connectors
3M™ Scotchcast™ resin joints designed for use with single-core and multi-core armoured LV cables. This product features a unique hinged mould body and totally enclosed mixing system which significantly reduces the chances of spillage, skin contact and vapour inhalation.
3M™ Scotchcast™ resin joint kits 92-NBA x are designed to be used for 1-core up to 5-core non shielded, polymeric, low voltage energy cables. The application incorporates electrical insulation and mechanical protection of joints with compression or mechanical connectors. They can be used for indoor and outdoor, underground and submerged applications. These joints are also suitable for Single Core Airfield Ground Lighting Cables rated to 6kV with the use of additional components.
Prysmian G38A cable box filling compound is a “hot-pour” compound suitable for power cable joints and termination boxes up to 33kV
Prysmian G101 Bitumen compound is an encapsulating medium/sealant for power cable joints and terminations, suitable for use at voltages up to and including 11kV
Scotch® Electrical Stress Control Tape 2220 is a mastic tape used for stress control applications in joints and terminations at all voltages. Use Scotch™ Electrical Stress Control Tape 2220 to change the voltage distribution in the electrical field surrounding medium voltage joints or terminations. This tape will regulate lines of flux to equalise the electrical stresses in a controlled manner along the entire area where the shielding has been removed. By changing the electrical field the stress concentration is reduced from several thousand volts to values found in continuous cable. Temperature rating of 90 °C continuous operating with emergency overload temperature of 130 °C. RoHS 2011/65/EU Compliant. Changes voltage distribution in the electrical field surrounding a high voltage termination or joint. Reduces stress concentration to values found in continuous cables.
Scotch® Rubber Splicing Tape is a highly conformable, self-amalgamating EPR (Ethylene Propylene Rubber) based tape for electrical applications. Our tapes can be used for insulation in low or high voltage applications and in joints up to 69 kV. Features a special polyester liner that will not stick when unwinding. Stretch up to 100% for void-free, moisture-resistant insulation. Non-vulcanising and shelf-stable. Highly conformable, self-amalgamating EPR (Ethylene Propylene Rubber) based tape. Primary insulation for splicing cable up to 69 kV. Ideal for moisture sealing electrical connections.
